Poetry or Novels? - an art work & pseudo-converstion by T Newfields
Ella: Personally I prefer poems to novels . . . .
Jack: Why is that?
Ella: Somehow poems are more abstracted from the grime of life of life than novels.
Juanita: (laughing) 'The grime of life'? That is precisely what makes life worth living!
Shu: (half-listening) Ugh, what kind of grime are we talking about?
Ella: The kind that is emerging now. Don't you realize – whenever people hear what they don't want to hear they attribute it to 'grime'.
Juanita: (shrugging her shoulders) Ah, gimme a break!
