	was the child of an ancient Chinese alchemist.

	Tanks
	were the creation of a pious Bohemian.

	Rifles
	were invented by a brilliant mathematician.

	Machine guns
	were the brainchild of a medical doctor.

	The combat drone
	was first made by a model airplane enthusiast.

	Agent orange
	was the inspiration of a botany professor.

	The A-bomb was
	Oppenheimer’s biggest offspring.

	So many fledglings
	from our imagination!

	We’re one happy family, huh?


Frida:    Our understanding of military technology has developed far more rapidly than 
          our understanding of ethics, education, or ecology.

Ying:     Yep! In my darker moments I fear that human extinction is almost inevitable.
