Ying: Some think of peace as if it were a social engineering project. Can greater well-being be socially manipulated?
Frida: Others contend it is merely a matter of micro-engineering. Those people believe all we have to do is change our hearts.
Ying: I dunno. Maybe we should accept that fact that we're imperfect and a certain amount of violence will periodically erupt. No matter how hard we attempt to avoid it, shit falls.
Satoru: That's easy to say if you're not the victim of crime or violence. It's much harder to accept when things get personal.
