ASH TO CLAY:

Myths in the Debris

III. Voices from the Rubble

Dig your hands deeply into history's slag-heaps!
Sift through scorched dreams shorn of shine,
as you navigate the darker, explore invisible sands of time.

Among the wreckage, rusted gears congeal
with chromium rods resting in graves of steel—
lean in and listen: lost gods still speak,
their mechanical murmurs low and bleak.

From ancient ruins, strange futures time,
as bone-dust and embers still rule—
today's decay is tomorrow's vogue,
gleaming in time's cesspool.

From jaded juniper, gilded swans arise,
shapes forged and formed beneath fractured skies.
From splintered stone, or ash and clay,
bright phoenixes bloom and blaze away!
