HEART-SCAPINGS: A message for artists Each time we wake up we paint the canvas of our minds What colors do you apply to your inner landscape at that time? Do you paint with shades of fear, hurt & resentment – or enable other hues to arise? Each tint has its own virtue & no color is ever be fully "you." Find the point between sleeping & waking, a state that contains all hues! Be the artist of your own canvas - Create whatever works you wish to see but remember, soon enough all images vanish & we will confront an empty screen. Tim: Do you buy into this message? Miok: Well, I'm unsure. In some ways, the formula is too neat and simplistic. Cantara: We shouldn’t underestimate the strength of the social fabric connecting us. By the same token, however, we shouldn't underestimate the power of a single determined mind. Tim: Such discussions can go on forever. What’s really needed is a perfect, artistically fermented glass of wine! ===================================================================================== from Heart Scenes: Emotional Landscapes via Art, Poetry, & Prose by T Newfields Summary: Some thoughts about self-determination and determinism.
