PRIORITIES: A panegyric to gardening Azaleas are important. Morning glories have value, too. Snapdragons should not be forgotten. Chrysanthemums bloom majestically, then to compost are renewed. If we reassess our priorities, perhaps we'll see that nurturing gardens matters more than most things humans do. If we take care of our gardens and the manifold creatures therein, maybe we'll realise this whole planet is a single huge garden, too. Lex: It seems each season of life has its own priority: what appears important now might be of little consequence later. That's why I believe we can learn so much from plants. They 'understand' the priorities of each season perfectly. N'est-ce pas ainsi?
