I am pleased to recommend Timothy Newfields as an English instructor. I first met him in 1992 at a training course for interpreters sponsored by the city of Shizuoka. Mr. Newfields was a dynamic and effective teacher who was responsive to our needs. I was impressed by his grasp of both English and Japanese.

I've been studying English with Mr. Newfields since 1992 on a monthly basis. His lessons are useful, enjoyable, and informative. Since I teach junior and senior high school students, Mr. Newfields has kindly given me useful ideas for the class. I have also enjoyed attending several meetings of the Japan Association of Language Teaching (JALT) with him.

In summary, I believe Mr. Newfields has both the background and personality to make an outstanding teacher.
