Answer these questions in small groups
1. When do most Japanese start dating? 2. What are some popular dating spots in this area? 3. If you go out on a date, what time do you have to be home? 4. How expensive is a typical date in Japan?
C. LISTENING/SPEAKING FOCUS
Ali is in her 20's and asks Eric for a date -
Ali: Hey, do you have any _________1 this Saturday night? Eric: Not _________2. What's up? Ali: Have you been to a disco _________3? Eric: No, not for ages. And you? Ali: Neither have I but I'm _________4 to check out the ABC disco. Eric: OK, ___________5 go for it!

A - You like B. Invite him/her out for a date. B - You like A, but feel shy. You'd like to date him/her, but worry.
