Paramecium move through swirling immensities
while amoebas engulf diamond-shaped beings
Hydras drift in fluids they sacrcely see
while ciliates whip like frenzied spermatozoa
& algae suck up solar energy

or tales from a planet far away?

No – just small parts of a miracle
much nearer:
the sea moves in us even this day
