Ordinary Enlightenment:

Deconstructing the Notion of Noetic Awareness

An-Yi: Speaking of enlightenment, is there any way for ordinary persons to experience enlightenment – at least for a moment?
Bhäraté: (jokingly) Sure! Stick a light bulb over your head and turn it on: that should do the trick.
Daiki: (more seriously) However, why would you want to be enlightened? Isn't it better to be a fool? Persons claiming to be "enlightened" are invariably arrogant & create all sorts of mischief. It's better to acknowledge your own imperfections from the onset & to simply laugh: do not make a pretense that you are anything more than a clump of dust. That is what every creature on this planet essentially is.
Chariya: I would like to think we are more than dust. Perhaps we should explore what "being fully human" actually means?
Bhäraté: (half-seriously) Without a change of consciousness, words are a waste. Transcend this entire conversation.
