Elijah: |
(scratching his head) What are these images saying? |
Soo: |
Images do not say anything. However, our minds are constantly trying to make sense of the world, creating innumerable interpretations. |
Ellesha: |
Are such interpretations needed? Why not just see just appreciate the patterns as they are without adding interpretations? |
Philyra: |
I doubt that is possible. Our subjectivity influences our perception in more ways than we can imagine. |
Jules: |
Maybe every work of art has multiple interpretations. On one level, there is simply form and color. However, in a difference sense I believe that every artist is also expressing a political vision. |
Soo: |
Yeah, too many so-called 'spiritual' philosophies see the world as apolitical. That is naive. Some kind of conflict is always at play. |
Elijah: |
The Polish poet Wisława Szymborska was insightful. She wrote all things are political, even those things that we politely label as "apolitical."
