A Universal Grammar:

Thoughts about Language and Consciousness

A Universal Grammar - a graphic manipulation by T Newfields

All adjectives are fictions –
each attribute contains its opposite.

All nouns are deceptive –
fostering notions of seperateness.

Verbs offer fleeting snapshots –
but stories constantly change.

Connectors –
don't those build linguistic reality?

Words such as "and", "if", "but", & "or"
cement scintilla of perception
into unified frames.

Connect – disconnect.
Recognise life many ways.

Re-arrange your grammar
& remember syntax is flexible
yet some parts cannot change.
Juanita: (frowning) This poem is too obscure.
Jack: Yeah. Moreover, the graphics are not so engaging.
Ella: Linguistic reality is but one of many "realities" – that is a worthwhile insight.
Shu: (nodding) No doubt. Visual reality has a similar plight.
